˚The Hottest Thing in Tech this Week

Even with a massive boost after COVID-19, the Digital Health market is still relatively nascent and one to watch at CES 2024. Deloitte is starting things off with a Digital Health session featuring input from Google and Adobe at CES covering the forces reshaping health, which includes the growing demand from empowered consumers for insights, convenience, access, and personalized experiences.

1. Wearables & Health Monitoring Devices

One major trend is the explosion in demand for wearables like the Fitbit, iWatch, and other wearables monitoring overall health. On Tuesday Ultrahuman will release an update to their suite of self-quantification health devices. Sharp will unveil its “Non-contact Vital Sensors” for precision health monitoring. Nomo will reveal its Smart Care home health device to monitor elderly relatives’ health.

2. Remote Health

Many of us first experienced Telehealth during COVID-19, but the trend has continued as many opt to access care (including mental health) outside of care locations. One exciting product at CES 2024 is Co-Dx which brings real-time PCR testing to homes, businesses, and care facilities with their compact device. Co-Dx uses cloud tech to provide highly accurate PCR results in 30 minutes for viruses.

3. Integrated Health Data & AI

Many AI health solutions are already analyzing all available data and patient histories to identify illnesses and effective treatments in seconds rather than days or weeks. For example, Humetrix will share its AI-powered platform that securely translates medical terms and prescriptions into 20+ languages across 150+ countries, enabling instant sharing of data between patients and healthcare providers throughout the world. Finally, Blueskeye AI will announce a platform that lets health tech companies integrate clinical-grade AI analysis of medically relevant “expressed behavior” into their products.

"With 7/10 consumers saying they’re likely to adopt digital health solutions, organizers anticipate a massive increase in interest and demand for these solutions at CES."
